American Indian Style

So...at first, when we saw people with headdresses and war paint, we found it to be disrespectful.  As the days wore on, I realized there was a connection there to a Killers song.  Still...pretty awful.

This was the first girl I saw wearing an animal on her head.  Most likely faux, but she looked good.

More girls with animals on their heads.  This is definitely trending in the wrong way...

When I took this picture, I was flashing back to the 90s.  Tiny backpacks, grungy backpacks...etc.
Then I looked closer at the print - it's definitely got native roots.
And I saw a whole lot of American Indian style at Target today.  Trends really do circle around. 

  

This is a real pelt.  REAL animal pelt!!  ugh. 

This was totally her girl scout vest.  Glad to see it's useful beyond  6th grade and selling those damn cookies.
